Are you not thankful???

I have to rant a bit, so hang in there! Why the rush for Christmas? Are you not thankful for anything? I am so sick of all of the Christmas stuff already. I don't mind the music, because it is nice, but my neighborhood looks like Christmas vacation. It's not even Thanksgiving!
See my little Indian friends? They are thankful and remind us to be thankful.
Are you not thankful? I am!!

They are in my foyer and are "looking " right out my front door. I bet their little feelings are hurt staring at the light display in the hood.
If Squanto there was packing arrows, I am sure he would take out the lighted reindeer.

Pocahontas is much nicer about things. (Unlike me!)
I think you shouldn't start preparing for Christmas until..... you poop turkey! I think that is a good standard, don't you?

Class of 2011!!

That's my boy. Can you tell he's looking into graduate programs? Can you tell he's doing research on spiders?
Why, I think he's doing some research right there! Something about alcohol uptake and some sort of receptor site and it's agonist! (He would be so proud of me for using those words.)
Yesterday we talked about "cooties". He didn't believe in them as a child. He didn't know they would become his future.
He calls me everyday! Everyday! Yes there are college boys like that. Usually he just wants to let me know that he has "rocked" an exam, or what gormet meal he will be having that night. Yes I have created a food snob in him. He'd rather have wild salmon and rice pilaf over the ever affordable Ramen noodles, any day.
He will also tell you that he is "discriminatory about his non-hydrating beverages". He knows his beer and wine. Not a college variety chugger, he's a sniff, swirl and sip guy. He knows where they come from and how they are brewed and or distilled. He can tell the difference between, Merlot, Pinot Noir, and Cab with his eyes closed.
But then there are Irish Carbombs! Whole different story!
Lets not tell him I blogged about him today, he will correct my grammar and dispute something. Probably that agonist thing.

And one more thing! How to kill a hymn!

My son's version of
My God is an awesome God....

My dodge is an awesome dodge it is,
It takes me very far, it is an awesome car,
My dodge is an awesome dodge!

THIS is what he learns at Christian school!!!
There's another one about the Lord and his apparently reliable Ford, but I will let your mind wander a bit!

At long last, a glimpse from last week!

Here he is.... Big Man on Campus!
If you look carefully, he looks like, he is beginning to form a word!!!
I'm just guessing, but it look's bad. I would have beaten him if he did.
He didn't!

She is his assistant coach. She sacrificed soccer this year to cheer, and it is killing her. But she will try out for the spring team. When she went to soccer camp once with pros, they nicknamed her "Hot Sauce". I could have never in my life come up with a more appropriate name! I just may change it on her birth certificate.

This is why she is not playing soccer or basketball, or year round swimming this year. She was bitten by the cheer bug. She has been going to competitions for years watching her sister.

I am not sure if it was a challenge, or the need to girlie up a bit?
Honey and I never figured it out.

But she wears it well, and is tumbling like a maniac already!
In case you didn't notice, the very second she removes her uniform, on goes the soccer shirt? Hmmm....
Now here is the original cheer girl. She is extremely comfortable in front of the camera or a few thousand people.

On her shoulders is one ball of fire, affectionately known as "muscle baby".

Like I said..... extremely comfortable in front of the camera!
Did you notice those hair bows? Aren't they fantastic? They are genuine original YellaRibbon  hair bows. You simply must check the site out. My girls have a bazillion of them! And will have more come December 25th!

Gosh, it feels sooo much better to blog with real pictures!
It helps get me over the pain of the Bobcat trade!

It's a sad day for me....

My honey called me and I could hear the trepidation in his voice.
I could tell he was about to deliver bad news.
He said... well, I think the Bobcats will be a better team now?
They traded Raja Bell and Vladomir Radmonovich.

Raja was awesome, but does have a questionable wrist injury.

He was scrappy and all over the court.

Vladomir, was the token white guy.
But the announcer said his name really great.
So now we have two new guys from Golden Sate?
One good guy and a spare. Who are they anyway?

Larry Brown..... call me?

The Best I Can Do Right Now..

This is a picture of my son in his soccer tournament! Oh wait! That's not's a stick figure! Why you may ask? Well...let me tell you. My husband personal photographer who tooks loads of glamorous actions shots, deleted them from his memory card, before I could put them onto my apple from hell  computer. He has since spent a little hours and hours of his time trying to send them to my apple from hell computer. He even burned them onto a disc that my apple spit acrossed the room, repeatedly. Bad apple!

Oh hey! Here is a picture of my daughter at her cheer show. Her first big season opener. It was amazing the girls looked great, so pretty in their fancy hair do's and make-up!

Here's the other one, it was her first cheer performance of her life. A pretty big day all in all. (First performance make-up!) How bout that eye liner, pretty cool huh?
I swear they are the most beautiful girls ever! Don't ya think?

Okay there is my mom. She is so awesome, she got in front of almost 1000 people and danced with two other grandmothers in a dance contest.
I don't know where she gets those moves, she was such a good sport. You really should have seen it!

This is me for not having killed someone for not getting me a way to have my pictures

Charlotte Bobcats!!

We have a serious Bobcat adoration running through the veins of our family. I don't even remember how it began. Many of our friends don't appreciate our enthusiasm because they are still all twisted up over losing the Hornets. Get over it, that was years ago!
Honey and I have been going to games for a few years now. But last spring he surprised me. We went to a game early and met with a sales guy who showed us some awesome seats. I figured we were just being nice to score the seats that night. Wrong! Honey looked at me with tear in eye, got down on one knee and said "Shari, will you share these season tickets with me?"  to which I sweetly responded "Hell Yeah!"
It was like being engaged all over again!
That was last spring. We have since moved into fourth row seats!
Right in front of the Lady Cats! It's okay, Honey deserves some eye-ball candy!

These are two of our favorite players. DJ Augustin, who is a scamperin' maniac. He bobs and weaves like Speedy Gonzales ! He is amazing. We should just call him "The Blur".
The insanely tall one is Gerald Wallace. He is the best, most aggressive player they have. He breaks bones, (his own) flies into the stands, and is a huge risk taker. We believe he should be wrapped in Kevlar. His mother might appreciate it.

Casey will walk up to anyone associated with the team. They can't resist her. She has chased down more players for autographs, it is shameless!
Sean May took her ball from her as a joke and she about lost her mind. He has since been traded! Hmmm..... makes ya wonder how much power she wields!
She is a loud side line coach with a constant stream of actually appropriate commentary. (I've never been prouder. Sniff...)

Here is one of our newest shining stars. Raja Bell is a really good player, and he sure is pretty! Sigh! Raja hurt his wrist and is easing his way back into the game. Shake it off boy! You are cute but it's more about the ball!
Honey is going to the game with friends tonight, but I took all the kids on Monday. Oh Yes! I am keeping track!
