Why can't my kids get along like this?

Yes the quality of the picture is bad, but the moment is good. With these two there is no whining, name calling, blame placing, and tattling. True, when they upset me they go straight into their kennels.... Hey wait! There's an idea!

A taste of my Monday morning...

First of all, I was gone all weekend. Don't feel sorry for me, I was at the Grove Park Inn with my husband. Perk of the job, there are yearly meetings and I get to go. We golfed (I am really new to golfing, but I did okay) we got massages, and I got a facial. Grove Park Inn is clearly a sample of what Heaven must be like.
My parents kept the kids for me, and I am sure they barely missed  me. But I was perky this morning getting them ready for school.
Nobody else was perky. They were typically blurry.  Most Monday's are blurry to me too, but this was an extreme. Nobody was smiling except me.
The tounge demonstrates her level of enthusiasm.
Clearly, refusing to look at Mommy. Not letting me glance at those pretty blue eyes is his form of torture.
Really not to much to say here. Except, if I even tried to take one more picture, I may haven't gotten punched.

They will be in a much better mood when I take them to Ben and Jerry's after school!

Come on now, everyone does this!

Okay, here is how it happens. You get invited to a fancy event. (in this case, my brother and his lovely bride had a wedding party.) You work like crazy to achieve, that perfect look. The look that is supposed to come off as natural and "I just happened to throw these clothes on and, what does one do with crazy hair like this?" . Well here's what we do. About 6 hours of prep. Then we case the area continuously. When one of us spots the wedding photographer, we dive for the powder and lipstick, like it's a segment of the Amazing Race.

Well how about that!
You just happened to catch as natural girls, just relaxing, laughing and  enjoying our time together!
It's so much more than "cheese"!

My Superior Oldest Daughter!

First of all... she is wearing a royal blue life vest. (which symbolizes first place.... in everything!!!!)
Secondly, she tends to master and/or at least dominate any and every sport and athletic experience.
Thirdly, it is obvious to see.
Hence.... her giving my sister-in-law that knowing, "isn't this just, a walk-in-the-park?" smirk, only to be given back the, "little girl, you haven't been to MY park", look!
This is her showing off for Pap-Pap, when we all know it is a "showing my Pap-Pap, who is boss, maneuver".
And this is the classic, "I can show more leg, because mine are much longer... oh, why does mother nature, curse me with these long american beauties?"

She is also smarter than me and much more organized and that is why she is awesome!!!
There fore I must absolutely say,

 Boo-Boo Girl, I love You!!

Nearly against his will....

Doesn't he look wise, and harmless?
He really needed a bath. I mean really.

Go figure, adding soap, water and kid doesn't always fix it!

His feet are still dirty!

Taylor Swift, Kellie Pickler, and my sister!!!

My sister and I planned a long time ago, to take our girls to see the Taylor Swift concert on Labor day weekend. I had to stress , a long time ago, because it was same weekend as one of our cousins' wedding. Andy is one of the greatest guys in the world, and he married Angie, the sweetest girl in the world... and  we were at, Taylor Swift. We  did not score points with "the family".
Anyway, in preparation for the concert, our girls decided they were going to make shirts for the concert. They tie-dyed tee shirts, and then ironed on letters. Taylor Swift on the front, and their nicknames on the back. Elf, Spitz and Kitty. (See if you can match them up.) While we were eating pizza before the concert, the cutest little girls, probably about 4 years old, bravely approached our girls with the biggest smiles, to tell our girls, that they liked their shirts. Cute, Cute, Cute!

Taylor Swift was fantastic. She is quite the show girl. She worked that hair, and those eyes, to coax the most horrendous level of screaming I have ever ever heard at a concert, sporting event, or natural disaster. It was almost unpleasent. What was weird to me, were the actual swooning teenage girls. That last time I had seen this behavior was at the Donnie Osmond concert. I mean, I saw it on You Tube? (Quick cover of age).
I had never seen Kellie Pickler in action before. She was amazing as well. Very classy and sweet. But check out her shoes! Apparently she is 5'1' and always wears heels. But she can work those heels too! I will definitely be getting some of her music now.

Last but not least is my sister. If I use her nickname, she will never ever forgive me. So I will call her Neese. Like Geese but with an "N". Better  Neese? Do I still get a Christmas present? Isn't she cute? She epitomizes the cowgirl. And she pretty much has, her whole life. She has drifted in and out of different fashions, rock 'n roll groupie look, car pool mom, Betty Crocker, (sorry Neese). But she looks perfect, in "Cowgirl". Tim Gunn would say, "the proportions are perfect, and, "she makes it work"!

BUT, I will say this, she is so cute, you could put her in a brown paper bag, and she would still look cute!!
I can't wait to get the phone call after this one. But Cowgirl is riding her horse today, (for real, she really does own a horse and rides it too!) so she'll see this much later.
Later sistah!
